Since the company’s launch in 2019, Pivot Pictures has been established as a key independent distributor in Australia and New Zealand with an impressive slate of acclaimed films from around the globe. Highlights include the coming-of-age comedy Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person from award winning director Ariane Louis-Seize, Australian comedy The Big Dog from writer/director Dane McCusker, the award winning Irish drama It Is In Us All starring Cosmo Jarvis (Shogun), the critically acclaimed award winning German WWII drama The Conference, Scandi foodie romance A Taste of Hunger starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, murder mystery comedy Murder Party, Johnny Depp produced Crock of Gold, A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan, The Killing of Two Lovers from award winning auteur Robert Machoian and Cannes Palme D’or selection The Swallows of Kabul. Pivot Pictures have also onboarded numerous other local productions, including the AACTA nominated multi-award winning features Unsound and Darklands, local family adventure The Legend of the Five, fantasy drama The Greenhouse and rom com Love You Like That.

Pivot Pictures also has a production arm which collaborates with some of Australia’s most experienced writers, directors and producers, with an emphasis on creating commercial content focusing on artistry, originality and authenticity.

Louisa Balletti

Managing Director

Owner and Director of Pivot Pictures, Louisa Balletti launched a successful career in cinema exhibition prior to moving into film distribution in the early 2000’s, where she headed up theatrical sales for Hopscotch Films before transitioning into the broadcast and digital sectors in 2008. Establishing the newly formed digital division for the distributor, she developed the rising sector, and was appointed regional Senior Vice President of Digital for global distribution giant Entertainment One. There she headed up the digital business in the region, releasing titles such as Academy Award winners Spotlight, La La Land and Green Book, box office hits The Divergent Series, Now You See Me and The Girl on the Train, local hits The Sapphires, The Water Diviner, Bra Boys, Charlie’s Country and Mao’s Last Dancer and global TV franchises The Walking Dead, Peaky Blinders, The Inbetweeners and Peppa Pig.
